Mary Lyon’s mission was to prepare Mount Holyoke women to do anything they put their mind to, and we know that generations of alumnae have gone out and accomplished great things. Over 175 years, Mount Holyoke’s liberal arts education has helped thousands of women prepare for change – whether it be as a global leader, politician, artist, scientist, teacher, or mother.
As part of the new brand that launched this year, Mount Holyoke promises to help prepare students to face the future with confidence. While a Mount Holyoke education has always provided the tools necessary for students and alumnae to triumphantly lead change, the new Lynk Initiative has gone a step further to help students conscientiously identify their strengths, network with successful professionals, and define their life and career goals throughout their four years on campus.
We think FebruMary is a great opportunity to show Mary (and the Mount Holyoke community) all the great things you do on an average day, and how you put your Mount Holyoke education to work!
We encourage you to print out a picture of Mary and take her with you on Wednesdays — let us know what the two of you are up to! Whether you are running board meetings, teaching, conducting experiments, volunteering, or taking care of your home and family, take Mary with you! Mary has already visited us in the Advancement Office.
You can see what Mary and fellow alumnae are up to by going to Mary’s Instagram account, or by looking at the photos on the right hand side of this website. You can also share your photos with Mary via social media. You can either post it to your Instagram or Facebook profile (#FebruMary #MaryAtWork) or you can send it to Beckie Markarian (firstname.lastname@example.org) and she will post it for you.
Remember to keep checking in all FebruMary to see what exciting things our alumnae are up to!
